Sweet and sour shrimp: tempting stir-fry and delicious flavors.

Recipe: Sweet and sour shrimp: tempting stir-fry and delicious flavors.

Summary: colorful mix of fresh shrimp, golden pineapple and green beans.

Ingredients

  • 1 pond fresh or frozen peeled and deveined shrimp
  • 1 cup teritaki sauce
  • 1/3 cup pineapple juice
  • 1 tablespoon rice vinegar
  •  1/4 teaspoon hot sauce
  • 1/4 teaspoon cornstarch
  •  2 teaspoons oil
  • 1 teaspoon peeled and minced fresh ginger
  •  1 cup fresh pineapple chuncks
  • 2 tablespoons chopped green onions
  •  2 cups long green beans, cut into 1 1/2 pieces

Instructions

  1. Mix together teriyaki sauce, pineapple juice, vinegar and hot sauce. Add the cornstrach and set aside.
  2. In a saucepan, heat the oil and saute the ginger. Add the pineapple chunks and green onion and cook until pineapple is brown. Add teriyaki-pineapple mixture and the green beans. Simmer for 5 minutes.
  3. In a separate heavy skillet, heat oil and saute shrimp until just turn pink. Add to sauce and remove from heat. Serve over rice and garnish with toasted sesame seeds.
